This was more of a rollback in terms of the Deagle. No, they should NOT have kept the damage as is.

Godly usually means unbalanced...and Counter-Strike is a competitive, arena-based FPS.

No room for godly. Players need to make the weapons, not the other way around.

Re: CSGO patch

Eric Winkelmann
Yes, Travis has it correct. It is unbalanced compared to other weapons. An $800 Deagle outperforming an M4 is broken. It had the same damage as the auto-snipers which cost ~$5000. Is a scope worth $4200? I don't think so.

It made all other pistol options obsolete...and all SMG's and Rifles not worth the money based on the benefits...and those benefits were also questionable.

Re: CSGO patch

Eric Winkelmann
The new damage amount was the problem. How do you not see that?

Anyway, I don't think this mailing list is for this discussion...I'm sure it is being discussed on the forums.

Just understand that you're in the severe minority with your opinions...and that usually means you're wrong. ;)

Are you really trying to compare the pistols to the rifles. Even in older cs games the deagle was like 3 shot kill. Personally I like the Hard core mods from more recent games where your health is low and can only take maybe 1-2 shots

Re: CSGO patch

Absurd Minds
I'm not sure valve is going to take your personal preference for low
health mods against the opinion of most of the community and almost
all of the professional community, but there are forums for this
discussion if you think that it's an important enough opinion to
disseminate. This mailing list is not the place.
